The Project is primarily a residential and tourism development with leisure and retail elements in Muscat Al-Sawadi Region in Oman.Desing, engineering, procurement and construction works for three 5-star and one 4-star hotels, 4,991 apartments and 202 villas, two Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) world class golf courses, one with 18 and the other with 9 holes including their club house, tourist and heritage villages, one amphitheatre podium with gallery & retail units, shopping complex, entertainment and public amenity units such as a primary school, nursery, kindergarten, health centre, police station, fire house, post office and a mosque and all thei r related modern city infrastructure and landscaping over an area totalling 5.4 square km. with 1.7 million square meter approximate total gross floor area, which is 15.8% of the overall projected final site land. Phase 1 contract covers the design, engineering, procurement and construction of three 5-star hotels, the 248-key City Beach Resort Hotel, the 122-key Amphitheatre Resort Hotel and the 300-key Golf Resort Hotel; as well as 202 villas and 4,991 apartments for tourist and permanent residents; two world class golf courses, one eighteen hole, one nine hole, and their club houses; a tourist village; a heritage village; a city hall and all associated community necessities and amenities including a primary school, nursery, kindergarten, health care centre, shopping malls, police station, fire house, post office, mosque and related modern city infrastructure and landscaping. An intelligent, elegant layout has been devised for the development, which will be served by a network of broad boulevards, access roads and parking spaces complete with promenades, wide squares, public parks and green areas, giving residents a feeling of openness and space. Furthermore, in compliance with its location, the design character of the hotels and the residences will reflect and integrate a combination of traditional Omani and modern styles. Blue City is composed of eight sections, all will reflect different types of design, and all will afford sweeping Gulf views of follow the beautiful green expanse of the golf courses.
