Extension for Ras Lanuf New Town Phase 1 & 2, ENKA
Design and turnkey construction of 360 houses with garage, 1 preparatory school, 1 multi-purpose office and one 56 bed hospital with a total floor area of 10,000 m². The project also includes all infrastructure works, landscaping, natural gas network system, telecommunication system, 11 KV energy system, transformer buildings and interior furnishing of the houses. The second mega-project of the Libyan Petroleum Ministry is the Ras Lanuf New Town Construction. In 1986, ENKA had completed the first part of this project encompassing 1,129 villas, 5 hotels and motels, 5 housing compounds, a primary school, kindergarten and supermarket, complete with all auxiliary facilities and the necessary structure and had handed over Ras Lanuf New Town with a magnificent inauguration ceremony. ENKA subsequently undertook the additional construction for the Ras Lanuf town. The additional construction is worth approximately, 90 million USD and covers a 60,000 m² area, encompassing 360 villas and a number of social buildings. As foreseen by the work-program, the extension works are completed in 1993.
